Expecting: Something in the Air

I do not care much for being around groups of people, but there is something about this season that makes expecting palpable. The extra twinkle in a child's eye, the extra heart towards mankind, and for some, the extra bah in the humbug. I enjoy walking in little shopping places because there is just something in the air that fills you with joy and makes you smile. People celebrate the season for many different reasons, but we are all partaking in something that is beyond us. A shared experience creates an invisible bond, one human bond to another. The excitement bubbles. Yes, the stress of the season can be overwhelming, but it is the excitement, shared experience with another, and the sense of expecting that can draw us back to joy.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
