Refocusing
Several years ago while in college, I was challenged by a speaker to be open to God and say, “Here I am. Send me.” From that time on, He has led me to become a missionary overseas. I moved to Texas over 6 years ago to attend seminary and to be trained as missionary not knowing when or how God would use me. He showed me that I am wired to work with children, and it is something I truly love to do. After graduating, I began working in the children’s ministry department at Irving Bible Church. I love my job and it was perfect for me! I love planning of events, serving alongside amazing leaders, and more importantly, seeing kids grow in Jesus, connect in community, and join God’s mission. While I enjoyed what I do and grew as a person and as a Christ-follower, I began to lose focus on what God has ultimately called me to do.
